Druh Farrell is a born-and-raised Calgarian and a long-time resident of Ward 7. Druh’s constituents can count on her to make decisions based on social and environmental considerations, as well as economic outcomes. She supports walkable neighbourhoods, accessible public transit, strong communities, and self-supporting growth – initiatives that help communities respond to change with resiliency and foresight.
As a champion of livable neighbourhoods and sustainable, fiscally responsible development, she combines long-term vision with the tenacity to get things done. Druh comes from a family of entrepreneurs and is an entrepreneur herself. She owned and operated a successful manufacturing and export business for 14 years. Before being elected to Council, Druh was a community advocate and volunteer. She was manager of the Kensington Business Revitalization Zone, founder of the Inner City Coalition, Outreach and Planning Coordinator for the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association, Co-founder of the Eau Claire Community Association, and Chair of the Hillhurst Sunnyside Planning Committee.
